Esta es la historia de Josefina, una joven madre que lucha por darle a su hijo lo mejor en la vida. Josefina se ve sin los medios para pagar la hipoteca y está en riesgo de perder la casa, por lo cual recurre a su jefe, Don Elías, para pedirle un préstamo. Pero él es un hombre mezquino y muy amargado, por lo que le niega el dinero. Mientras tanto, su pequeño hijo Marcos lucha por ganar algunos centavos vendiendo flores y otros efectos en la calle, y entabla una fuerte amistad con Fello, un niño huérfano.
Poco a poco, Josefina se va enamorando de Samuel, el hijo de Don Elías. Samuel es un hombre de buen corazón, pero la muerte repentina de su padre lo amarga y comienza a convertirse en el hombre avaro y egoísta que una vez fue su padre. This is the story of Josefina, a young mother struggling to give her son a better life. When Josefina finds that she is unable to meet her mortgage payment and is about to lose her home, she turns to her boss Don Elias for a loan. But this stingy and bitter man refuses to help her out, and Josefina is at a loss. Meanwhile, her young son Marcos does what he can to help his mother, by selling flowers and other small goods on the street. It is there that Marcos befriends an orphan boy named Fello, and the two become inseparable.
Bit by bit, Josefina falls in love with Samuel, Don Elias’ kind and giving son. However, the sudden death of Don Elias causes a change in Samuel, and he becomes embittered, cold, and selfish. With each passing day, Samuel grows farther apart from Josefina, and farther away from the true spirit of Christmas. Until one day, when an “angel” comes to the rescue.
